Here are some answers to your questions about virgin hair.

1.What is Virgin Hair?

The term virgin hair refers to hair that has been untouched by chemical processes such as dyes, perms, and relaxers.

2.How much hair do I need?

If you are having a full sew-in weave the average person need about eight to ten bounces of hair. We recommend buying 2 packs of hair (lengths between 14 to 16 inch) 18 inch or longer we suggest purchase 3 packs or more. It is always best to have enough hair than not enough.

For Sewing: We Suggest that you sew around the weft and not through weft because you do not want to damage the weft and disrupt the hair, going around the weft will also add longevity to your hair.

For glue: If you are getting the hair glued in one pack is enough (we suggest not to bond the hair if you want to reuse for multiple installments)

keep in mind that since the hair is sold by total weight the rule is: “The longer the hair, the shorter the track, (weft)

3.What type of hair products should I use?

Treat this hair just like your own. We suggest that you wash your hair before installment, by soaking hair in a sink. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable. We recommend using a deep conditioner on your Indian hair once per week let hair soak in conditioner about 10 minutes, but avoid using oil or heavy styling products. The more moisture the more curls or waves!

4.Is it ok to blow dry, flat-Iron, tong or curl virgin hair?

You can absolutely treat your new hair just as you would your own. Curl it, straighten it and most of all, enjoy it! Use heat in moderation as excessive heat dries out your hair and shortens its lifespan .For durability, it is advisable to buy the pattern you want directly and not change the existing hair pattern back and forth. If you prefer to wear your hair straight or wavy, then the wavy textures will be best for you since they offer the most versatility.

5.Does virgin hair shed/ tangle?

Virgin hair should not shed or tangle if properly cared for. However, if your extensions start to tangle then it could be as a result of any of the following factors: dryness, oil & dirt build-up, salt-water, chlorine, improper dying techniques, low quality dying products or simply not combing your hair out daily.

6.Can my new hair be colored?

Virgin hair can be colored. Our virgin hair of premium quality has never been chemically treated and it can therefore handle the coloring process very well. Use good quality dying products as low quality dye products will damage the hair. We recommend consulting a professional if you wish to color your new hair.

7.What should I do with my virgin hair when sleeping?

It is always best to make a loose braid or ponytail for sleeping & wrap your hair every night. Silk, polyester or satin caps work best. Cotton, on the contrary, is horrible for edges and hair in general due to its drying properties, especially when combined with the friction and pressure caused from changing sleeping positions. Never go to sleep with wet hair. Make sure your hair is always completely dry when you go to bed. Sleeping on wet hair can tangle your hair and over time may cause hair odor.

8.Is it safe to go swimming with my extensions?

Yes, but you might want to braid your hair or pull it into a ponytail before you go swimming in order to prevent tangling. Wash the hair afterwards and make sure it is well conditioned. We recommend using a spray-in conditioner when you get out of the water to keep the hair soft and manageable.

9.How long will my new hair last?

The longevity of our virgin hair depends on how well the hair is maintained. Our hair will last for a long time, and will be healthier and stronger when you take good care of it. Due to its natural strength and durability, virgin hair will last longer than any other product available in the market of hair extensions. The only time you will need to purchase additional hair is if you desire a longer length, or different texture.

10.How is the length measured?

The Straight Textures are measured true to length. The curly, Body Wave, Loose Wave, and Deep Wave are measured when hair is pulled straight.
